I teach social studies and I have always had my kids find and write summaries of some article out of the newspaper each week. Since having this online quiz available, I have now switched over to making this quiz their current events grade. We are a 1-1 school with computers, so they can log on in my classroom or at home and take the test. Not only do they receive weekly points for this, I have charts up on my wall and even the seniors love the chart. I love this weekly quiz and hope you continue it. Kudos to you guys for doing this!

See what teachers, coordinators, and school leaders have to say about bringing NewzBrain into the classroom.
I've been using NewzBrain in my gifted program for grades 3-5 for four years and this is the one activity my students love to participate in each week. The monthly quiz offers a more comprehensive challenge and enrichment activity to support mastery of subject content. NewzBrain was the perfect program to get them involved, and the competitive nature of the program in real time is their favorite component.
